Austin–Bergstrom International Airport or simply known as AUS is an international airport based in Austin Texas. This class C international airport covers a total of 4242 acres or 1717 ha area and mainly serves the greater Austin community of the metropolitan area.
It is located 8 km or 5 miles southeast of downtown Austin. It has a total of two runways with two terminals & 34 gates. Opened in 1999 the airport is operated by the City of Austin Aviation Department.

Besides Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport & George Bush Intercontinental Airport it is the third busiest airport in Texas.
