EVA Air – Inflight WiFi Service
Eva Air provides high-quality Wi-Fi service to its inflight passengers. Panasonic Avionics provides the Wi-Fi service on Eva Air. Currently, wifi service is available on the following aircraft: 787, 777-300ER & A330-300 aircraft. You can use Eva Air wifi service to any of your wifi-enabled devices including personal laptop computers, smartphones or tablets.
You can enjoy WiFi service when the aircraft reaches 20000 feet or higher altitude. Eva Air WiFi service is provided based on satellite communication, so your service can be interrupted in some region which is not covered by the satellite network (example: arctic).
Wifi service has a data limit based on the package you will use. However, there is no time limit. There are four types of data plans provided by Panasonic Avionics. Starting from light messaging of 30 MB to the maximum plan ($39.95).
They accept payment methods like VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diner Club, JCB & Discover credit cards, PayPal etc for Wifi data purchases. Note: Eva Air wifi only supports the latest browsers. So make sure your device is packed with the following latest browsers:
